KUALA LUMPUR: The authorities investigating the alleged sodomy involving Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim must act fairly to reduce public anxiety.
Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM) president Yusri Mohamad said the authorities should realise the case had attracted much attention because the public had been shocked, sad and anxious over the latest allegation against Anwar.
“The authorities must take heed of lessons learnt from the past. The politicians must also be careful in making statements and be fair, as required by the Islam faith,??? said Yusri in a press statement.
He added that the media too, should refrain from making judgements.
