APRIL 16 — The story unfolds with the application of three turncoat members of the Perak Legislative Assembly for a declaration that Speaker V. Sivakumar’s order, which was made in the Legislative Assembly, that their seats in the Assembly have become vacant because they have resigned was illegal. Here is the report from theSun newspaper, Thursday, April 2, 2009:
IPOH: The High Court yesterday dismissed the application by Perak State Assembly Speaker V. Sivakumar to strike out an original summons brought by the three independent assemblymen, seeking a declaration that Sivakumar’s order to declare their assembly seats vacant was illegal.

PAS (Parti Islam SeMalaysia) which previously did not receive the support of a large part of the non-Muslim community in Malaysia is now getting a rather positive response from them. This can be gathered from the result of the Bukit Gantang by-election in Perak where PAS candidate Nizar Jamaluddin snagged 75% of the Chinese votes compared to 65% [won by the party’s candidate Roslan Shaharum] in the General Election of March 2008.
Urgent Judicial Review Needed to avert Injustice in Perak Assembly
The Federal Court appeared to have erred when it ruled on April 9 that the Election Commission (EC) could overrule the Speaker’s acceptance of resignations in the Perak State Assembly.
The Court’s decision was in response to an urgent application by three assemblymen who wanted a declaration whether it was the EC or the Speaker who had the final say over their disputed resignations. The Speaker had earlier accepted their resignations based on their pre-signed letters to this effect, but they – Jamaluddin Radzi, Osman Jailu and Hee Yit Foong – claimed that their resignations were invalid.

Sarawak Chief Minister beamed with smile after meeting the Prime Minister that was quoted in the media soon after Datuk Najib Tun Abd Razak announced the line up of his cabinet. Why one may ask? The answer is obvious his son Datuk Seri Sulaiman Abd Rahman was appointed as Deputy Minister of Tourism.
While former Prime Minister Tun Mahathir Mohamad likewise whose son is also in the cabinet line up as Deputy Minister said, he didn’t do any lobbying for Datuk Mukhriz.

Stupid Bridge
For me, Johor Baru is one hell of a depressing town. After more than half a century of BN rule it has degenerated into a filthy and crime ridden southern gateway for the country and an absolute disgrace to us all.
The Malaysian Insider reports, here, “Over the past few days, the mainstream media has been making a case to revive the crooked bridge across the Johor Strait, a project cancelled by Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in his early days as prime minister that irked his predecessor Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad”. It was also no surprise to me when the JB UMNO youth head was reported as saying that “The people of Johor are placing high hopes on the (new) prime minister to review the decision to cancel the crooked bridge project across the Johor Straits”.

In his eagerness to attract young Chinese voters, he may have attracted the ire of other Chinese by stating that that dancing is part of Chinese culture. It could be taken as an insult.
This is not to mention the ire of conservative Malays (likely the majority!) in Bukit Gantang who are uncomfortable with too much bare skin.

Missing The Concept

In image building, it is good to have a concept. But the trouble with having a concept is that the concept should be followed up with or backed by a blueprinted plan to achieve whatever is set out to be achieved by the concept. It must be borne in mind however, having a concept is one thing, implementing a concept is another and of course, missing a concept, especially in Malaysia, is as easy as getting dead or into a coma in a police lock-up.
So, let us say we have a concept and our concept is “change”. We should then have some ideas as to what change we want to achieve. Then we should have a plan on how to achieve that change which we want. After that, we should all go out and do whatever is being planned in order to achieve that change. That is how it works. Well, at least, that is how I think it should work.

Sarawak Headhunter today declares war on racism in any form.
The first target is that dirty newspaper Utusan Malaysia. While their boss, the erstwhile PM of Malaysia, is trying to put forward his “1Malaysia” concept, opportunistic though it may be, they are blatantly pushing a racist and racial agenda. Obviously this is both a challenge to Najib as well as a warning to the other races of this country.
Their headline today reads “Bangkitlah Melayu” and they are blaming this highly provocative incitement on the “extreme” demands of the other races – how convenient! THIS IS SEDITION!
